The Fed's probability of a rate cut in September is 71.5%, initial jobless claims exceeded expectations.

On August 22, according to the data platform, the probability of the Fed maintaining the interest rate unchanged in September is 28.5%, while the probability of a 25 basis point rate cut is 71.5% (yesterday it was 82.4%).

According to previous reports, the number of initial jobless claims in the United States for the week ending August 16 was 235,000, expected to be 225,000, and the previous value was 224,000.
