Apple fixes zero-day vulnerabilities in iOS and macOS, urging users to update their systems as soon as possible.
[Chain News] PANews August 22 news, Apple recently released a security update to fix the zero-day vulnerability CVE-2025-43300 affecting iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. This vulnerability exists in the ImageIO framework, where attackers can cause memory corruption through malicious images, and it has been used for targeted attacks. Affected systems include iOS 18.6.2, iPadOS 18.6.2/17.7.10, and related versions of macOS Ventura, Sonoma, and Sequoia. Apple has fixed 7 zero-day vulnerabilities that were actually exploited this year.
According to an expert, attackers can achieve out-of-bounds memory read and write and remotely execute code by sending specially crafted images, and some attackers have already exploited this vulnerability. Users are advised to upgrade their iOS and macOS to the latest version as soon as possible.
I do care about safety, but I don’t quite believe Apple’s excuses. However, I still suggest upgrading? Based on their historical data, they cannot afford to lose anymore...
