Gate Charity's "Weaving Stories, Coloring Roles" Empowers Mothers through Art Healing

2025-01-07, 03:17

On December 29, 2024, Gate Charity launched the “Weaving Stories, Coloring Roles” event at Mahligai Tower, followed by inspiring workshops and talk shows at MASA Cafe on December 30-31, 2024. The event was designed to honor the dedication and resilience of mothers and women, especially those balancing dual roles as caregivers and breadwinners. National Mother’s Day, celebrated in Indonesia on December 22, provided the perfect backdrop to appreciate their invaluable contributions and offer emotional support.

The event featured a series of painting workshops, where participants could creatively express and identify their emotions through art. In addition to these therapeutic activities, insightful talk show sessions were held to provide strategies for overcoming the challenges faced by mothers in their demanding roles. Over 60 participants came together to reflect, share experiences, and embrace the power of community and creative expression. The combination of art therapy and heartfelt discussions helped reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and foster pride in the important roles they play in their families and society.

“Weaving Stories, Coloring Roles” successfully offered mothers and women a space to recharge and reflect on their resilience. Through art healing and shared insights, they were able to build a sense of community, overcome emotional barriers, and gain confidence in their ability to juggle multiple responsibilities. This initiative reaffirms Gate Charity’s commitment to supporting women and empowering them to thrive despite the challenges they face.
